Why I Sold My Kindle Fire and Why You Should Too

I recently sold my new Kindle Fire on Ebay for $199.75 but I’ve had it since it was released back in November. How did I sell a new one if have had it for months? Well, I purchased the Kindle Fire at Best Buy and got a one year warranty for it which was roughly $30 and they told me I could exchange it for a new one whenever I wanted for whatever the reason. This led me to making up a story and they exchanged my old Kindle Fire for a new one and they also refunded roughly $25 of the warranty since I did not use up the whole year. I did loose a couple of Hamiltons but hey, I was able to do a couple of videos on it and I had a tablet for a couple of months.
Admit It:
We can all agree that the Kindle Fire is actually not all that good, it has a lot of bugs and problems, we also don’t get access to the Android App Store nor can we use it with Google’s Android 4.0 software. Yea, it is good for a person who doesn’t browse, play, or use Twitter all that much and just wants a tablet to watch Netflix on the go. But, there is another problem, the iPad has set very high standards for companies to compete with and even Apple haters will have to admit to it.
Why I sold it and why you should too:
First of all, we all know that mostly any product that is not Apple related will loose its value pretty quickly. Right now you could sell an original iPad for about $300 and in some cases even for more than that given the fact that it is nearly 2 years old.
Lets also take into account that it is almost March and this means Apple will probably announce and if not release the highly anticipated iPad 3 or HD or whatever you want to call it for the next couple of weeks. We also know Amazon will release a better version of the Kindle Fire sometime in the future even though nothing is set in stone yet. Right now you could sell a used Kindle Fire for roughly $180 in good condition but in a couple of months I wouldn’t count on it.
As short as this post was, it should get you thinking on what you are gonna do with your Kindle Fire and if you are reading this and don’t have a Kindle Fire then…you made a good choice. On a lighter note I am hoping that Apple releases an 7-8inch iPad because a smaller form factor would make it perfect to carry around although, I don’t think this is very likely to happen. All in all, I personally recommend you sell your Kindle Fire and stay put until Apple announces the iPad 3/HD.

Amazon and GameStop Offering New PS Vita 3G Bundle
Amazon and GameStop have updated their listing for the Vita 3G/Wi-Fi model. The bundle now includes the 3G model itself along with an 8GB memory card, a 250MB “AT&T DataConnect Session pass”, and a voucher for an unnamed PSN game. This will run you $299.99 and existing pre-orders of the 3G model have been upgraded to this according to Gamestop and Amazon. The bundle says that it contains $55 of extra value. With an 8GB Vita memory card running at $29.99 and a 250MB 3G plan costs $15this would leave the PSN voucher with a $10 value. With all that said the First Edition Bundle was added some extra perks to justify the $350 price tag. In the updated First Edition Bundle you will receive Little Deviants, a 4gb memory card,a limited edition case, a code for a free PSN game, and a data season pass for a free month of AT&T data. As promising as the new bundle is I will still be getting the First Edition Bundle to get my hands on the 5 inch OLED one week early.Source: Gamestop Amazon

PS Vita 3G data plans modified by AT&T,$30 for 3GB
A while back AT&T announced that it’d offer 250MB per month for $14.99 and 2GB for $25 for the PS Vita, but now they have changed the $25 2GB plan to a $30 3GB plan. Now you can get about 12 times the data for double the money of the $14.99 plan. I don’t know about you guys but for 5 bucks it is totally worth having unless you plan to only play Little Big Planet alone offline when your on the go.
