Starbucks Starts Giving Out Free iPhone Apps

Starbucks has started giving out free iPhone apps as part of their ‘Pick of the Week’ program which used to only offer free tracks from iTunes, reports CNET. Just like it is for music, users can find free cards waiting for them at the cash register with codes on the back that can be entered into iTunes or the App Store to get the application.

Impressive iOS Notifications Concept [Video]
Check out this impressive iOS notifications concept video by Andreas. It’s actually been posted online for quite some time but this is the first time i have seen it.
Apple is widely expected to improve the notification system of iOS in its next release which will be unveiled at WWDC 2011. Hopefully the company takes some inspiration from videos such as this.

Angry Birds confirmed as coming to XBLA, PSN, WiiWare before a sequel!

It looks like we’ll see the Angry Birds, On of the most successful iOS Games, released digitally on consoles before a proper sequel comes out, as Vesterbacka characterizes the XBLA/PSN/WiiWare ports as just “for starters.” Soon after, he hinted that we could see a “surprise” twist on the game, telling the timeless tale of Angry Birds from the perspective of the lowly pigs.
