It’s been two weeks now, and Apple’s has just released another iOS 5 beta build. Those of you that have Apple developer credentials can now go on over to the source link below the post, and get your hands on iOS 5 beta 6.
MacRumors has commissioned CiccareseDesign to create high quality renderings of the iPhone 5 based on leaked case designs. Interestingly, at the time these design specifications were posted MacRumors said they “received a reliable tip that this is not what the iPhone 5 will look like.”
Apple is simplifying the design of its iconic Fifth Ave Retail Store by using only 15 pieces of glass instead of 90. In mid-June, Apple began work on their $7 million renovation of its Manhattan store. Recently, Apple has revealed its plans for location by posting an informational sign on the barrier surrounding the plaza that reads, “We’re simplifying the Fifth Avenue cube. By using larger, seamless pieces of glass, we’re using just 15 panes instead of 90.”

Apple might be poised to ditch OmniVision for its next round of iPhone / iPod Touch cameras, but that hasn’t stopped the company from trotting out a fresh crop of sensors. Weeks after unveiling a beastly 12 megapixel number, it’s announced the OV5690, a 5 megapixel chip, and the first to use the company’s second-generation OmniBSI-2 pixel architecture.
Apple is planning a major update to the Apple Store dubbed Apple Store 2.0, according to an anonymous 9to5Mac source.
Steve Jobs, Jonathon Ive and Senior VP of Retail Rob Johnson are said to have led the development of this major makeover for the Apple retail experience.
Some of the said changes include:
● New dedicated personal setup areas called “Startup Sessions”
● Paper signage next to Macs and many products will be replaced with interactive iPads.
● Beefed up displays described as “huge”
● Brand-new sound systems
● New Apple Store iOS application (possibly on Sunday) that is more interactive and will be able to detect if you are in an Apple Store to assist you better.
● New store or window displays
Earlier today AppleInsider reported that iPad’s would play a major role in the new Apple Store experience.

Impressive iOS Notifications Concept [Video]
Check out this impressive iOS notifications concept video by Andreas. It’s actually been posted online for quite some time but this is the first time i have seen it.
Apple is widely expected to improve the notification system of iOS in its next release which will be unveiled at WWDC 2011. Hopefully the company takes some inspiration from videos such as this.

Apple may be planning to release two iPhone 5 models this fall, according to the iPhoneDownloadBlog.
The site has heard from an employee of an Apple parts supplier who believes Apple is planning to build a ‘normal’ and a ‘pro’ version of the iPhone 5.
Recently reports suggest that Apple could be working on a cheaper and perhaps smaller iPhone. In February Tim Cook fueled rumors by saying Apple is doing “clever things” to attack the prepaid market, because he wants Apple to be “for everyone,” not “just for the rich.” Cook also said he recognizes “price is big factor in the prepaid market,” but Apple is not “ceding any market.”

A forum member from MacRumors wrote, “Just picked up the white iPhone 4 and realized it doesn’t fit into my Incase slider case. It appears that Apple has increased the size of the plastic that borders the glass on both sides by about 1mm. “
